About the Programme

Anglo American Platinum’s Unemployed (18.2 B1) Learnership programme is your pathway to becoming a qualified artisan. Based at the Amandelbult Mine, this programme offers training in several critical engineering fields. Here are the available positions:

  • Learnership Fitters x 8
  • Learnership Riggers x 4
  • Learnership Electricians x 4
  • Learnership Diesel Mechanics x 2
  • Learnership Boilermakers x 6

Upon successful completion, you will be a fully qualified artisan, ready to take on challenges in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this life-changing opportunity, applicants must meet one of the following sets of criteria:

  • Matric (Grade 12) with a minimum 40% pass in Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy), Physical Science, and English.
  • OR an N2 or higher certificate with all subjects relevant to the specific discipline.
  • OR an NCV Level 4 in the appropriate trade, with all subjects passed with a minimum of 40%.

Trade Test Requirements

Additionally, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements for their trade tests:

  • A minimum of an N2 certificate that includes:
    • Mathematics
    • Engineering Science
    • Relevant Trade Theory
    • Industrial Electronics, Engineering Drawings, or Plating Structural Drawings
  • OR an NCV Level 4 in the appropriate trade with all subjects passed.
