About the Role
The Department of Employment and Labour is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to take on the critical role of Labour Centre Manager in Lephalale. This is a senior leadership position responsible for managing the entire operations and service delivery mandate of the centre, ensuring efficient and effective support to the labour market.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this prestigious role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Qualifications: A three-year National Diploma (NQF 6) or an undergraduate Bachelor Degree (NQF 7) in one of the following fields:
- Financial Management / Accounting
- Human Resource Management / Labour Relations
- Social Sciences / Public Administration
- Management / Business Administration / Operations Management / Project Management
- OR a three-year legal qualification.
- Experience: Five years of relevant experience, with at least two years at an Assistant Director level. Three years must be functional experience within a labour market operations or service delivery environment.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Public Financial Management Act (PFMA), Public Service Regulations, Batho Pele Principles, and Service Delivery Improvement Plans.
- Skills: Proven skills in Management, Communication (verbal and written), Presentation, Interpersonal relations, Conflict Management, Leadership, Project Management, Diversity Management, and Monitoring & Evaluation.
Key Performance Areas (Duties)
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing and achieving the service delivery objectives as per the mandate of the Department of Employment and Labour.
- Representing the Department in key stakeholder forums, including interdepartmental government structures and municipalities as dictated by the District Development Model (DDM).
- Implementing and managing the service delivery improvement plan for the centre.
- Managing all resources (human, financial, equipment) of the Lephalale Labour Centre effectively and efficiently.
