Position Details

  • Reference Number: 0002/2025
  • Position: System Developer
  • Salary: R468,459 – R551,823 per annum (Level 09). A performance agreement will be required.
  • Centre: Pretoria

Who We Are Looking For: Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A recognized 3-4-year National Diploma or B-Degree in Information Technology, Software Development, Multimedia Development, or a related equivalent qualification (NQF level 6).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in system development.
  • Sound knowledge of system development and programming, with experience in:
    • SQL, HTML, PHP, VB, C#, .Net
  • Knowledge of the Public Service Policy and Regulatory Framework is advantageous.

Your Key Responsibilities: Duties

In this role, you will be entrusted with a wide range of critical tasks, including:

  • Developing both desktop and web-based systems.
  • Managing all system acquisitions, including both in-house and outsourced projects.
  • Conducting user training and creating comprehensive system documentation.
  • Providing expert advice on system development and new initiatives.
  • Performing system administration functions (updates, security, etc.).
  • Administering user acceptance testing and functional system testing.
  • Analyzing business processes and modeling data requirements.
  • Coordinating the compilation of user requirements and developing process diagrams.

  • Equipped with strong people skills and sound work ethics (honest, respectful, trustworthy).
  • Client-oriented with a strong customer focus.
  • An excellent communicator with good verbal and written skills.
  • Discreet and understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
