About the Role

Are you a seasoned leader in the ICT training space? The State Information Technology Agency (SITA) is seeking a dynamic and strategic individual to fill a critical Senior Management role within the Application Development and Maintenance division. This position is tasked with leading and managing a comprehensive application training service, applying best practices to directly support key client objectives.

Reporting to the HOD of Implementation and Functional Application Support Services (IFASS), you will be at the helm of designing, developing, and maintaining solution training materials, shaping strategies, and fostering innovation within a national ICT environment.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate, your role will be multifaceted and impactful. Your key responsibility areas will include:

  • Developing and implementing strategic roadmaps for Application Training to ensure a comprehensive and integrated function.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of governance mechanisms to deliver quality products in a controlled environment.
  • Managing the design, development, maintenance, and evaluation of solution training material and online reference guides.
  • Developing and executing stakeholder relationship management plans to improve and maintain effective partnerships.
  • Ensuring your team remains abreast of the latest industry developments and technologies for knowledge management and innovation.
  • Effective management of all unit resources, including budget, finances, and assets.
  • Providing effective leadership and human capital management for your team.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualification:
A 3-year National Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6) in an ICT-related field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology, or Engineering.

Experience Required:
* 8 – 9 years’ experience in an application/IT training environment, covering the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and quality assurance of training solutions.* A minimum of 7 years of management experience within an application/IT training environment.

Technical Competencies & Personal Attributes

The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of application/IT training environments, the training life cycle, various methodologies, and SAQA/NQF requirements. A strong understanding of SITA’s business objectives, ICT solutions, financial planning, and procurement processes is essential.
