Who Should Apply? Essential Requirements

To be considered for this senior role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A recognized Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 6) in Social Work, Psychology, or Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) or the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience, with:
    • 2 years at a Middle Management level (ASD level).
    • 3 years of functional experience in Employee Health and Wellness.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of: Relevant HIV and AIDS legislation, the National Strategic Plan, the Integrated Employee Health & Wellness Framework, EHWP Policies, and public service principles.
  • Key Skills: Exceptional communication, counselling, negotiation, decision-making, organisational, and computer literacy skills.

Your Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate, your duties will include:

  • Managing the implementation and promotion of comprehensive Employee Health and Wellness programmes.
  • Leading the execution of the Employee Health and Wellness Strategic Framework and the Gender Equality Strategic Framework.
  • Overseeing and implementing matters related to Gender, Disability, and Youth within the department.
  • Developing policies, providing guidelines, and compiling reports to promote EHW and GDY initiatives.
  • Managing all resources within the Sub-Directorate effectively and efficiently.
