Are You the Right Fit? Requirements
To be considered for this prestigious role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Qualifications: A three-year National Diploma (NQF6) or an Undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree (NQF7) in Human Resources Management, Human Resources Development, Training and Development, Management of Training, Public Management, or Public Administration.
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of functional experience in Performance Management, with at least two (2) years spent at the Assistant Director level.
- Knowledge: You must have an in-depth understanding of:
- Public Service Act and Regulations
- Public Service Management Act
- Treasury Regulations
- Labour Relations Act (LRA) and Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)
- All HR Management Policies, Systems, and Procedures
- Performance Management and Development System (PMDS) Policy
- Batho Pele Principles and PSCBC Resolutions
- Skills: Proven skills in Strategic Management, Financial Management, Facilitation, Communication, Interpersonal relations, Presentation, Planning and organizing, and Problem-solving. Computer literacy is essential.
Your Key Responsibilities: Duties
As the Assistant Director, your duties will be pivotal to the department’s success:
- Manage the administration of the individual performance management committee system.
- Oversee and administer the Performance Management Systems for both Senior Management Service (SMS) and employees on levels SR1-12.
- Coordinate and facilitate support for Committee Services within the branch.
- Manage the PMDS SMARTGOV platform.
- Develop, review, and manage the implementation of PMDS policies and processes to ensure full compliance with all legislative frameworks.
