Position Details
- Position: Assistant Director: Translation and Editorial Services (IsiNdebele)
- Salary: R468,459 – R551,823 per annum (A performance agreement is required)
- Location: National Office, Pretoria
- Closing Date: 17 June 2025
Requirements
To be considered for this senior position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- An appropriate NQF Level 6 qualification in Communication or Linguistics.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a translation services environment.
- Language Requirement: Major in IsiNdebele.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Public Service statutory frameworks (PSA, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, etc.).
- Understanding of the Code of Conduct and departmental policy administration.
Key Competencies: Strategic thinking, financial management, communication, project management, team leadership, and computer literacy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the translation function within the department.
- Editing translated bills and other critical documents.
- Managing terminology development to ensure consistency.
- Managing human, financial, and other resources effectively.
