Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving organizational performance? The Judicial Inspectorate for Correctional Services (JICS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Director: Strategic Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation. This is a pivotal leadership position within the Office of the Chief Executive Officer, based in Centurion.

Who Should Apply? Essential Requirements

To be considered for this senior role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A recognized NQF 6 qualification in Public Management, Public Administration, or a relevant equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in strategic management or planning.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Public Service Act, Batho Pele Principles, corporate governance, monitoring & evaluation frameworks, and research methodology.
  • Key skills include strategic formulation, problem-solving, communication, financial management, and computer literacy.

Your Key Responsibilities

As the Assistant Director, your duties will be critical to the organization’s success:

  • Coordinate and prepare inputs for JICS’s strategic and annual performance plans.
  • Assist in reviewing and developing departmental policies.
  • Facilitate and maintain strategic and annual planning processes.
  • Ensure proper monitoring and timeous reporting on the performance plan.
  • Coordinate the development and submission of annual performance reports.
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of JICS performance outcomes.
