Remuneration: An Attractive OSD Package

The salary is based on the Occupational Specific Dispensation (OSD) and is commensurate with your experience:

  • Grade 1: R827 709 per annum
  • Grade 2: R1 014 705 per annum
  • Grade 3: R1 174 848 per annum

All packages are inclusive.

Requirements: Are You the Right Candidate?

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Current full registration with the HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist in Independent Practice.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ in-depth experience working in an acute or semi-acute psychiatry ward.
  • Proven experience working collaboratively with medical professionals in a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to understanding and integrating into the military culture and organizational ethos.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Key competencies include strong communication, planning and organizing, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and emotional intelligence.

This is a Public Service Act Personnel (PSAP) appointment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following duties:

  • Provide supervision and training for intern Clinical Psychologists.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders to promote and maintain a high quality of care.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify service delivery requirements and monitor standards across different service points within the hospital.
  • Implement corrective measures to improve service delivery where necessary.
  • Function effectively as a key member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Prepare reports and provide feedback as required.
