Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for building strategic relationships and driving digital transformation within the public sector? The State Information Technology Agency (SITA) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Consultant for Client Relationship Management to join their National Consulting division. This is a pivotal role based in Erasmuskloof, Pretoria, offering a permanent position with a competitive salary package between R 651,627 and R 977,440.

About the Role

As a Consultant in Client Relationship Management, you will be the central point for managing and enhancing SITA’s relationships with key government departments. Your primary mission will be to understand client needs, align them with SITA’s ICT service catalogue, and ensure the delivery of effective solutions that maximize customer satisfaction and profitability. You will report directly to the Senior Manager Cluster and play a critical role in the Customer Operations unit for the JCPS Cluster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Management: Drive the portfolio of customers in your assigned cluster, assessing their ICT needs and delivering solutions within contractual and policy frameworks.
  • Strategic Implementation: Collaborate with service owners and senior management to implement targeted digital solutions and strategies.
  • Relationship Building: Build, manage, and maintain long-term strategic relationships with Government Departments to sustain and grow SITA’s business.
  • Needs Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of cluster requirements alongside the Business Development team and other stakeholders.
  • SLA Management: Monitor, review, and manage Service Level Agreements to ensure adherence and identify areas for improvement.
  • Risk & Budget Management: Identify and mitigate risks to minimize service gaps and provide input into budgeting processes to control expenditure.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Commerce, Marketing, Business Administration, or Economics.

Experience: 6 – 7 years of combined sales and IT experience, specifically in engagement/relationship management or project management at a Senior Management level. Experience interacting with Government Officials, GITOC, and other governance bodies is essential.

Skills: The ideal candidate will possess strong sales, business management, and strategic selling skills. Key technical competencies include Customer Relationship Management, IT Project Management, Financial Management, and a solid understanding of government processes like PFMA and the SITA Act.
