Key Requirements:
To be considered for this prestigious role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A degree (NQF Level 7) in Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in Financial Management or Supply Chain Management.
- At least 3 years of this experience must be at an Assistant Director level or equivalent in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience in public service financial management is a distinct advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations.
Critical Competencies: The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in Client Service Orientation (Batho Pele principles), Effective Communication, Computer Literacy (MS Office), Emotional Intelligence, and Team Participation. They must also be proficient in Administrative Operations, Financial Management, and General Management.
Key Responsibilities:
The Deputy Director will be responsible for a wide range of critical functions, including:
- Managing GTAC’s goods and services procurement support processes.
- Overseeing financial administration, including claims and invoice processing.
- Leading GTAC’s asset management, including policy development and bi-annual verifications.
- Providing financial operations support and ensuring all governance documents are in place.
