- Salary: R1,059,105 per annum (Level 12). This all-inclusive package comprises a basic salary, the state’s contribution to the Government Pension Fund, a medical fund, and a flexible portion.

Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate will be tasked with a critical mission: to manage and create an enabling environment, policy framework, and strategic reforms that ensure equitable access to digital services and promote an inclusive Postal Bank. You will be at the forefront of shaping the landscape of postal financial services in South Africa.
Key Requirements
To be considered for this senior position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the telecommunication or financial sector.
- At least three (3) years of proven work experience at an Assistant Director level or similar managerial capacity.
- Advanced skills and competencies in:
- Policy Development and Implementation
- Financial Management and Data Analysis
- Stakeholder Management and Communication
- Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance
- Innovation and Change Management
- Operational and Project Management
Key Responsibilities
As the Deputy Director, your duties will include:
- Maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, financial institutions, and industry partners.
- Ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory and compliance requirements for postal financial services.
- Managing the development of policies to regulate the Postal Bank environment and driving the necessary Socio-Economic Impact Assessment (SEIAS) processes.
- Contributing to research on financial service insights and trends to support technological innovation and digital transformation.
- Monitoring the strategic, operational, and financial performance of entities to ensure impact and sustainability.
- Managing financial resources, driving change, and ensuring operational excellence.
