Purpose of the Job
The successful candidates will be responsible for administering, coordinating, and facilitating all procurement-related and associated services to support the efficient functioning of the Facilities Management & Physical Security department.
Key Responsibility Areas
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Coordinating Facilities Management & Physical Security Procurement processes.
- Collating data relating to departmental procurement requirements.
- Ensuring maintenance of the stock control system and generating monthly variance reports.
- Performing general administrative duties.
- Managing problems and incidents related to procurement.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 (NQF level 4) plus a relevant, recognised short course (certificate of competence).
- Experience: 1 – 2 years of experience relevant to procurement.
- You must understand the basic theoretical reasoning and detailed practical applications behind procurement processes.
Technical Competencies Required:
- Knowledge of procurement processes, procedures, and policies.
- Experience in writing business cases and specifications.
- Experience participating in bidder specification and adjudication committee meetings.
- Strong general administrative skills and a knack for record-keeping.
- Previous participation in tender evaluations is advantageous.
