Purpose of the Job

The successful candidates will be responsible for administering, coordinating, and facilitating all procurement-related and associated services to support the efficient functioning of the Facilities Management & Physical Security department.

Key Responsibility Areas

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Coordinating Facilities Management & Physical Security Procurement processes.
  • Collating data relating to departmental procurement requirements.
  • Ensuring maintenance of the stock control system and generating monthly variance reports.
  • Performing general administrative duties.
  • Managing problems and incidents related to procurement.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Grade 12 (NQF level 4) plus a relevant, recognised short course (certificate of competence).
  • Experience: 1 – 2 years of experience relevant to procurement.
  • You must understand the basic theoretical reasoning and detailed practical applications behind procurement processes.

Technical Competencies Required:

  • Knowledge of procurement processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Experience in writing business cases and specifications.
  • Experience participating in bidder specification and adjudication committee meetings.
  • Strong general administrative skills and a knack for record-keeping.
  • Previous participation in tender evaluations is advantageous.
