Key Requirements

To be considered for this prestigious role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • An appropriate Degree (NQF 7) in Accounting, Financial Management, Public Management, Public Administration, or Internal Auditing.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience at a Junior managerial level within a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) environment.
  • Knowledge of basic project finance, economics, and the mineral industry.
  • Strong understanding of public sector policies, strategies, and legislation.
  • Exceptional communication, project management, report writing, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Note: Shortlisted candidates will undergo practical exercises and integrity assessments.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following duties:

  • Manage and supervise processes to collect and tabulate data to monitor, evaluate, and report on the accounting practices and financial performance of SOCs within the DMPR group.
  • Provide analytical support services to specialists for analysing the budget performance of these SOCs.
  • Ensure the effective, efficient, and economical utilisation of resources allocated to accounting analysis and modelling projects.
  • Oversee general managerial activities within the unit.
