The Department of Labour is seeking two dynamic and qualified individuals to join its team in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the implementation and monitoring of crucial labour programmes that impact workers and employers across the region.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- A three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6) in one of the following fields:
- Financial Accounting
- BCOM Accounting / Accounting
- LLB / BCOM LAW / BCOM in Commerce
- Auditing
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of: Departmental Policies, Public Financial Management Act (PFMA), Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA), Public Service Act, OHS Act, COIDA, BCEA, SDLA, LRA, UI Contribution Act, Skills Development Act, Employment Equity Act, and Batho Pele Principles.
- Key Skills: Facilitation, Planning and Organizing, Computer Literacy, Interpersonal Skills, Problem Solving, Communication (Written and Verbal), Innovation, Analysis, Research, and Project Management.
Key Performance Areas (Duties)
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the implementation of UIA and COIDA Programmes.
- Analysing systems to provide expert advice on sector-specific UIA & COIDA matters.
- Coordinating processes to monitor and evaluate the impact of UIA & COIDA programmes.
- Providing support for the implementation of regular Advocacy Campaigns on UI & COIDA, including after any amendments.
- Supervising resources within the Unit.
